These funds are here to fund the exploration of new ideas that promote the mission of Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services (BHCS) and improve the quality of life of individuals at risk of or those living with serious mental illness and their support networks and families.

Innovation Grants Round Two

Innovation Grants Round Two application funding is dedicated to addressing the issues emerging from the African American Utilization Report. The application period is completed.

BHCS is conducting the evaluation of Innovation Grants Round Two applications and is currently finalizing the selection of the INN Round Two grantees. Announcement of Round Two grantees is expected by January 2012.

Mental Health Service Needs Analysis and Demographic Profile

Application Period Completed

Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services (BHCS) is working with Grantees/Consultants on the Mental Health Service Needs Analysis and Demographic Profile, projected for INN Round Three. The specified target populations for the consultation are:

  • Adults and Older Adults with serious mental illness (SMI), who are isolated and withdrawn, living with families or in board and care homes or hotels, and their families;
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Intersex, and Two Spirit Community (LGBTQI2-S).
